Sabrina Aramburu
My name is Sabrina Aramburu. I am a visual communications design major, and I am very passionate about graphic design. I love surfing, and hiking, and road trips! Many things inspire me, but I especially love nature, architecture, and getting inspired by other artists and their passions. My main influence is definitely my mom. She is also a graphic designer and artist and she has inspired me my whole life. My hope is to work remotely and travel the world while creating logos and website designs. Key words: adventurous, curious, passionate. I hope to work with Logan Evasco and Climate Creative, for I am very passionate about environmental design. I also think it would be interesting to create a maker's workspace for artists and creators that is engaging and boosts creativity. My problem/purpose statement for that would be: "There is a lack of creative spaces and equipment for maker's to pursue their passions and grow their businesses"

Hi Sabrina! I completely agree about your makers space. During the Pandemic it was really hard to be motivated to create products solely by CAD. I have spent years perfecting my model making techniques and learning how to use machinery to manufacture whatever my creativity desires and have that all grind to a halt because I can't come to the shop. During the Pandemic I used the time to explore a lot as it was one of my only outlets. My longest continuous road trip was from Flagstaff, AZ to Phoenix, AZ then LA, and lastly SF in one day. A lot of driving. Recently I bought a map of California and put pins in all the parks I have visited. it has been a fun endeavor. One of my favorite parks in CA has to be Salt Point.
ReplyDeleteHi Sabrina! I really like enjoy your work, it seems you draw a lot of inspiration from organic forms like waves and nature, super cool. I'd love to see more of your work if you have a website or portfolio! I appreciate your passion for environmental design, I think that would be a very on brand project direction to go in!
ReplyDeleteHi Sabrina!
ReplyDeleteIt’s wonderful to meet you! I really enjoyed listening to your introduction. Hope you’re having fun in Costa Rica! I really like your watercolor digital illustration. The layering effect is very cool. I also really like your ceramic metal stamp. It’s really cool to see your designs applied to different mediums. I look forward to working with you this semester and I can’t wait to hear what your projects ideas are and how they evolve.

Nice to meet you again in the same class again, Sabrina. Your designs always look amazing. Your style is cool. Japanese style is my favourite, too. Ceramic metal stamp is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteSummer Greetings Sabrina, Welcome back to DES 505!
ReplyDeleteEven though I am happy that it appears that you will be working with Logan Evasco/Climate Creative, I would still like to see your creative thought generation for Two(2) other alternative Research Projects.
Looking forward to working with you for the next 8 weeks, minus 2 - Prof. Gomes
